You have the right to ask.

Right to Remain Funny makes a personalized, obviously-not-real Miranda warning as a picture you share yourself. Here is what to know, and how to reach us.

How it works

Type a first name on the home screen, pick a card from the row, and the card is ready. Share the card hands the picture to your share sheet; Copy as text copies the words. Keep pins a card on Your cards, where every card you have shared also lands.

Free and paid cards

Six cards are free. The other twenty, across all seven collections, are one purchase of $4.99, no subscription, tied to your Apple account. Until the unlock, a paid card shows its opening line and keeps the rest under redaction.

Restoring a purchase

On a new phone, or after reinstalling, tap any locked card, then "Restore a purchase" on the unlock sheet. It asks Apple whether your Apple account owns the collection and unlocks it if so. Nothing is charged twice.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds go through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your cards and your data

Everything stays on your phone. There is no account and nothing is collected; see the privacy policy. "Delete everything saved here", on the About screen, clears your kept cards and remembered name.

Sound

Sound effects are off unless you turn them on, in About, or accept the one-time offer after your first share.

The street

The painted street on the home screen follows your phone's clock: dawn, day, dusk, night. To see the others, pick one on the About screen; the choice lasts until the app is next opened.

Is any of this legal advice?

No. Every card is a parody of the Miranda warning, made for entertainment. The familiar lines are borrowed and bent on purpose. If you need a lawyer, hire one; if you need a card, you are in the right place.
